Dornier MedTech’s legacy in shock wave medical technology began in 1980 with the development of the world’s first ESWL system, the Dornier HM1. This breakthrough technology revolutionized the treatment of urinary stones by introducing non-invasive stone management and is widely regarded as one of the most significant medical innovations of the late 20th century.
Over the past four decades, Dornier MedTech and WIKKON have remained dedicated to advancing shock wave medical technology through continuous innovation and clinical collaboration. Together, both companies have introduced a range of high-value ESWL and ESWT solutions designed to improve treatment precision, efficiency, workflow, and patient outcomes.
